much needed update

I need to apologise for being AWOL with my updates! Here is my excuse....

Lesson #1: follow normal warmup procedures before commencing arse kicking workout

Lesson #2: listen when body says "I think you may want to lift a little lighter than usual today boss, I feel a little under the weather & stressed!"

Lesson #3: when knee lets go don't try to finish workout because you think others will call you a pussy!!!

So there you go!!!! 2 days in and my left knee doesn't want to play any more.
However, now for the good news....
We're back and four days in, this time with no problems to report apart from the worst DOMS (sore muscles) I've ever experienced (lots of Vitamin C for that then!!)I'm just about to train on Day 5 and I will then post daily with measurements and pics. My diet has been good and I swear the training is having an effect already. Stay tuned folks....

Day 1

So as day comes to a close I can reflect on the diet (no real problem apart from feeling hungry late in the afternoon) and the insane workout I completed in 2 parts today.

Conditions of taking part in this experiment don't allow me to go into too many details other than to say 52 sets!!!! I must be mad.....

Stay posted and we'll see what happens!

Starting Measurements

okay, now for the starting measurements....

Height - 6'2" (just these days!!)
Weight - 15st 4 lbs (97 kgs / 214lbs)

Hips - 39"

My Challange

So here we go......

My good friend Dax Moy sends out an email asking for volunteers for a 28 day muscle in a month challenge! Now those who know how competitive I am will also know I couldn't turn such a request down. However, there is another reason. A new baby, a new gym, and numerous injuries over the last year have meant not a lot of training time, resulting in me feeling very out of shape. As I have just turned 40 I need a big kick up the arse to get going again!

And here it is!!

I've 28 days to shed as much bodyfat and put on as much muscle as I can..... How will I fare? You will find out with me as I commit to an elimination diet and at least 1 hour a day training
sessions every day!!!

                   Have a look at my
starting pics, vital measurements to follow....
